Review generation and reputation for a moving company
Reviews decide the map pack in this trade, and the spread is wide. 35.9% of moving companies have fewer than ten reviews and 15.8% have none, while 31.5% have passed a hundred. Rating alone does not separate anyone, since 63.7% already sit at 4.5 stars or better. Count and recency are what move you.
Timing is what makes moving different. The customer is exhausted, the truck is empty, and they are standing in a room of boxes. That is not the moment for a link. The moment is the next morning, and the ask has to come from the crew lead before he leaves: "If everything went well, my boss reads these. You will get a text tomorrow with a link."
Then the text goes out at 10am the following day with a direct review link, one line, no app, no survey. That two-step sequence roughly doubles response rates over a link alone.
Two weeks in, working means requests firing after every completed move, a tally by crew lead, and a reply drafted for every review including the angry ones about a scratched dresser.
