Appointment setting for a moving company
Residential moves arrive one at a time and cost you between $30 and $150 each to buy. Commercial accounts arrive in batches and cost you a conversation. An apartment complex, a property management group, a corporate relocation coordinator or a senior living community sends the same crew out repeatedly, at a rate you negotiate once rather than defend every phone call.
Almost no mover works these accounts, because the calling is unglamorous and the sales cycle runs six to twelve weeks. That is exactly why the list is open. The pitch is not price. It is reliability, certificates of insurance on file, a named contact, and the ability to take a job on four days' notice in July when nobody else can.
The work is grinding: a built list of complexes, offices, realtors and senior communities in your dispatch area, four to six touches each, one booked meeting at a time.
Two weeks in, working means a real list, calls logged with objections, and a handful of appointments on your calendar with notes on what each account moves and when.
