AI search optimization for a moving company
A growing share of moving research now starts in an answer engine, and the question is remarkably specific: "what does it cost to move a two bedroom from Denver to Phoenix and who is reputable." The model answers with a price range, a warning about deposits, and sometimes a name.
Getting named comes down to being quotable. Answer engines pull from pages that state facts in plain text: your hourly rate for two movers and a truck, your minimum, your travel fee, whether estimates are binding or non-binding, your USDOT and MC numbers, the states you are authorized to carry to, and what you refuse to move. Most moving sites hide all of that behind a quote form, so there is nothing for a model to lift.
Licensing is the leverage here. Trust is the first thing a mover shopper asks an AI about, and FMCSA registration numbers on the page, matching what is filed publicly, are a citation the model can verify. The rest is consistency. Your name, address and phone must match across Google, Yelp and your own site down to the suffix.
